Personal Assistant Mariestad

Our client Markus is 28 years old and currently has a great team of assistants. We are looking for someone who can be the final piece of the puzzle in this group. Markus is autistic, has Down syndrome, mild epilepsy, ADHD, and does not have his own speech. We work around the clock to support him in his daily life. Markus lives in a house in central Mariestad, which he shares with another one of our clients who also has their own assistants. Here, it is common to work side by side and go on outings together. Activating Markus during the day and coming up with fun activities, combined with the necessities of everyday life, will be an important part of the assistant's role. Something he does every week is swimming and bowling. He loves trains and enjoys taking walks to watch all the trains that pass by. Markus does not have his own speech; instead, we use visual support and sign language. He also needs help with direction. He walks indoors without aids, but when he goes outside, he can tire easily, which is why he uses a wheelchair. **Role and Experience of the Assistant** We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, but also creative and proactive. You should be able to come up with fun activities that spark Markus's interest and be a bit clever to inspire him. You will be offered friendly colleagues and an active client who truly appreciates their assistants. You will receive individualized introduction/training in all aspects of the client's support needs and routines – it is important that both you as an assistant and our client feel secure. You need to be flexible regarding working hours, as we in the team manage staffing if someone gets sick or is on vacation – we support our client and each other. **Preferred Experience** - Experience with epilepsy. - Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish. - Swimming skills. - Experience with visual support and sign language. - Experience in similar work. - A driving license (B) is beneficial but not crucial. - Experience with autism. - Experience with Down syndrome. **Working Hours/Employment Rate** - Start immediately. - Working hours are scheduled for all hours of the day. **Regarding Salary** - We apply salary according to Fremia.
