About this role
We are currently seeking female assistants who want to work with a girl living with extensive care needs in the Bergsjön district of Gothenburg. As an assistant, you will have the opportunity to help a person live a life on equal terms with others as much as possible.
About the assignment In the role of assistant, you will assist our client with everything from personal care, hygiene routines, transfers, use of various aids, assistance with activities, and more. The girl has Rett syndrome and requires assistance around the clock. A crucial part of the assistance is to ensure that the girl's respiratory support is managed according to routine, as she breathes with the help of a tracheostomy tube. The interventions surrounding the girl's tracheostomy require great care and precision. The workplace is in the family's home and wherever the client may be.
Who you are as a candidate We are looking for someone with experience in care and support and a personal suitability for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, empathetic, and attentive. As an assistant in this role, it is important that you are a playful and energetic person who enjoys engaging in activities with the client. Therefore, we expect you to be physically fit, cheerful, and positive.
It is important that you are punctual and can adhere to schedules, but also flexible enough to occasionally step in to cover staffing gaps. We see that you are a confident person with integrity. You can work both independently and collaboratively with others.
The chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the client are crucial for the quality and experience of the work. A central part of this is communication, which is why we require that you as an assistant are proficient in both Swedish and Kurdish (Sorani).

This is a part-time position with varying working hours, and you are expected to be able to work day, evening, and night shifts based on your schedule. The working hours are 08:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00, and 22:00-08:00. During night shifts, you are expected to be awake and active throughout the entire shift.
The selection process is ongoing, and more information about the assignment will be provided during a potential interview. Start date will be agreed upon. For employment with Novum Assistans, you are required to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service.
