Personal assistance is an intervention under LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individualized support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on their needs. You will advocate for the client’s self-determination and privacy, ensuring their daily life runs smoothly.
About the position
The role of a personal assistant requires a high ability to establish good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also essential that you can take the initiative and see what needs to be done.
We are currently seeking someone who meets the following criteria:
• Wants to work with a 13-year-old boy living just outside Åsele
• Has good knowledge of Swedish
• Is tolerant of pets
• Is smoke-free (during working hours)
• Has a driver’s license and access to a car (for commuting to and from the workplace)
It is also an advantage if you:
• Have experience in similar work
• Share the client’s interests, such as outdoor activities and video games
A strong emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Working hours, employment rate, and salary:
The current employment form is "Temporary" until 2026-05-09, with a possibility of extension. The temporary position is at 85% and involves working awake night shifts. You will work 7 consecutive nights and then have 7 nights off. The working hours are scheduled as follows: 21:30 - 07:15.
Hourly wage is according to agreement and other compensations are based on collective agreements.

Being employed at Humana
A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you as a candidate can present valid identification and any documents that support the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
According to legislation, we as the employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for children under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to provide a printout from the police's criminal record registry prior to potential employment. Further information will be provided if you progress in the recruitment process.
