I am a single woman born in 1955 who has personal assistance around the clock due to a physical disability. What should I consider regarding my assistants? Of course, my daily life is the primary focus, but the work environment for the assistants is very important. My days and nights are mostly calm and composed. I prefer that you take your own initiatives within the framework of your work. My interests include flowers both indoors and outdoors, mostly homemade baked goods, coffee pastries, bread loaves, and similar items. Laundry is quite basic, meaning: sorting by material and color, ironing sheets, tumble drying terry towels (no fabric softener). As a personal assistant with me, you will help me with tasks I cannot manage independently in daily life, which includes household chores, mobility assistance, personal hygiene, etc. I prefer candidates with experience working as a personal assistant. A trained nursing assistant is meritorious but not a requirement. Applicants must be nicotine-free! As a person, you should be self-motivated, attentive, flexible, and responsible.
