As a personal assistant, you will work with individuals with disabilities who need help managing their daily lives. We are looking for someone who likes challenges and wants to make a difference with one of Sweden's most important jobs. We are seeking an engaged and caring personal assistant for a 60-year-old woman in a wheelchair. The position is suitable for someone who enjoys working closely with another person and appreciates planning and creating structure together. Work Tasks You should have a client focus and be solution-oriented. You have good judgment, work independently, and simultaneously have a strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups within social welfare. Respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of your work. You provide the client support in daily life so she can live as independently as possible. You are positive and enjoy challenges; it is important that you are creative and take initiative for activities. The client has a great interest in cooking, and it is an advantage if you share that interest. The work involves helping the client at home with household chores, personal hygiene, cleaning, cooking, exercise, and other activities. Your work includes ongoing documentation and responsibility for implementation plans. Your employment will be within Social Welfare, Lidköping Municipality, placed in the functional support/personal assistance/lifting group. Collaborative planning with other units may be relevant. Who Are You? To be employed as a personal assistant, you must have: Approved professional degree from a care and nursing program, or child and leisure program with a social orientation, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Since social documentation and communication are important in your work, you need good Swedish language skills and good computer skills. You also need good physical fitness to fulfill the assignment.
