We exist to support citizens under the age of 66 who need assistance in their social situation due to developmental disabilities or impairments. **Job Responsibilities**
As a personal assistant, you will support the individual at home, in school, and during activities, based on the user's needs and wishes. The tasks include practical chores, personal care, medical interventions, leisure activities, and social interactions. You will be the support the user needs to participate as much as possible in all activities and contribute to ensuring they have a good quality of life.
**Qualifications**
We prefer that you have completed education from a care program, a child and leisure program, or a one-year personal assistance training. Applicants with other educational backgrounds or experience that the employer considers equivalent may also be eligible for employment.
You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the user in maintaining their skills as much as possible. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and can act professionally.
We also expect you to be social, attentive, and proactive in activities with the user. You have the ability to create safety and structure through a low-arousal approach. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
The role of a personal assistant requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility. Since the job requires documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. A B driver's license and access to a car are preferred.
**More About the Positions**
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (100%)
Start Date: By agreement, working hours Monday to Friday during the day.
Full-time employment may be offered. You will primarily work in this case but may need to work in other cases/activities where there is a need. This requires that you can travel by your own car to the temporary workplace. Travel compensation will be provided according to the agreement for work-related travel.
For employment as a personal assistant, a criminal record check is required: Children with disabilities, e-service | Police Authority (polisen.se) and a request for an extract from the criminal record for an individual (442.3) - to be presented in a sealed envelope. **The User**
The user is a young child who is active and enjoys spending time in the garage.
You who work here need to be calm, secure, and clear in your communication. Understand the importance of working with a low-arousal approach. You are attentive and work purposefully.
