Description In the event of a serious incident with major societal consequences, the County Administrative Board's role is to collaborate with and support the actors affected by the incident, such as municipalities, regions, private actors, and representatives from civil society. The County Administrative Board is responsible for coordinating joint actions and resources as needed to create preparedness, limit consequences, and minimize impact on society to the greatest extent possible. The County Administrative Board is also the highest civil total defense authority and thus responsible for working to achieve the greatest possible defense effect, including supporting municipalities and regions in their civil defense work. The Rescue and Clearing Unit is part of population protection during heightened preparedness. Work Tasks We are now seeking employees for Dalarna's Rescue and Clearing Units who can assist the County Administrative Board and Rescue Service during peacetime societal disruptions, such as forest fires, floods, and radiation protection measurements. The unit operates under the direction of the County Administrative Board or rescue leader. In your role as a participant in the Rescue and Clearing Unit, you are expected to participate in exercises and complete competence-enhancing training relevant to your assignment. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: - Has completed defense instructors' forest fire fighting training with approved results. - Holds a car driver's license. - Is a member of a voluntary defense organization. - Is registered in Dalarna County. - Must have full work capacity, good health, and be in good mental balance. - Must not be war-placed at your workplace, in the Home Guard, or under another voluntary contract. As a person, you are balanced, calm, and able to handle pressured situations. The County Administrative Board places great importance on your personal qualities.
