At Holmedal School, the school day starts at 8:10 AM and ends around 2:30 PM every day except Fridays when everyone finishes just after lunch. The after-school program is open in the morning from 7:00 AM and closes around 5:30 PM. We meet for work group meetings once a month, where we have clear themes for each meeting. We are in a constant state of change and development. Right now, we are focusing a lot on students' reading abilities. We have an effective support system aiming to identify students quickly and provide support early on. Our organization includes special teachers, special educators, a counselor, a school nurse, and through student health, access to a school psychologist and a school doctor. RESPONSIBILITIES As an educator in our after-school program, you play a central role in planning, developing, and leading daily activities. You are responsible for creating a meaningful leisure time for the students, focusing on safety, participation, and learning. Your responsibilities include, among others: - Planning and managing the after-school program's activities in line with the curriculum's goals - Managing schedules, planning, and staffing - Budget responsibility for the after-school program - Collaborating with other school staff to create a cohesive environment for students' day - Actively participating in the educational work and being a present adult in the children's daily lives QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: - Holds a qualification as a leisure teacher, after-school educator, or other educational training deemed equivalent by the employer - Has experience working in after-school programs or other educational settings - Is independent, responsible, and structured - Enjoys leading, planning, and developing activities - Has a strong commitment to children's development, safety, and learning We offer: - A warm and personal workplace where we see and support each other - Short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence - A creative environment with engaged colleagues - Permanent employment at 100%, with a start date as agreed OTHER To perform certain tasks involving sensitive information, employees may need to log in with their personal e-legitimation.
