**Description**
The City Environment Administration has overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility.
We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work within the administration.
The City Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in Gothenburg City. Together, we work to create conditions for a functioning infrastructure, quality housing and facilities, an inviting public environment, and strive for the city to be sustainable from all perspectives.
**Job Responsibilities**
Gothenburg should be a green, clean, and beautiful summer city. At the City Environment Administration, within the Operations and Maintenance department, you will help create wonderful outdoor environments that both residents and visitors can enjoy. As a park worker in the Green Operations area, you will have the opportunity to work on meadow management and the control of invasive species. You will play an important role in fulfilling one of the administration's goals, namely to work with and increase biodiversity.
The work is both varied and diverse as you will be working in multiple areas. As a park worker in this role, you will be involved in digging up young giant hogweed plants, trimming flower clusters, mowing meadows with machinery or a scythe, and managing the cut material. You will need to commit to the task, take responsibility, and carry it out both independently and as part of a team. The work is physically demanding. **Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who has a high school education supplemented with at least a one-year gardening education or work experience that can be deemed equivalent. You should have good collaboration skills but also the ability to independently take responsibility for the execution of tasks. You should have basic computer skills and be able to handle email and time reporting systems on a computer and phone. It is also advantageous if you have training to operate a brush cutter, practical experience with a scythe, or work on road 1.
A driver's license (B) is required. We prefer that you have good driving experience as you will use your car as a tool in your work.
