Orthopedic Technology Department at Region Norrbotten
We manufacture and customize orthopedic aids such as prostheses, orthoses, corsets, orthopedic shoes, shoe adaptations, and insoles. We collaborate with multiple departments and clinics in our daily work, including joint consultations such as prosthetic appointments, foot clinics, and habilitation clinics for children and youth with disabilities, working alongside orthopedic specialists and other habilitation staff.
Our team consists of orthopedic engineers, orthopedic technicians, and an administrator. We are a regional clinic located at Sunderby Hospital and Gällivare Hospital. This position is based at Sunderby Hospital.
We Are Looking For:
We seek a candidate with technical expertise comfortable handling various materials like plastics, metal, and leather. A vocational college education in orthopedic technology is preferred. You should have excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Previous experience with the Cosmic journal system is an advantage.

You should be capable of handling complex issues and solving complicated problems. Your Responsibilities:
As an orthopedic technician, you will work broadly and explore various orthopedic technical solutions, performing manufacturing from start to finish. We prioritize a smooth onboarding process, ensuring you develop at your own pace and according to your individual conditions. We welcome orthopedic technology students in their final semester.

Position Details:
We offer a permanent full-time position with daytime hours. Start date by agreement, no later than March 31, 2026. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
