Örebro Theatre's mission is to offer children, youth, and adults in the county professional and relevant stage art of high quality and artistic merit. Our operations include original productions, co-productions, educational activities, guest performances, and tours.
Örebro Theatre is owned by Region Örebro County and Örebro Municipality. The home base is in Örebro, where the two main stages are located.
About the Position
We are looking for a seasoned and experienced producer for a temporary position due to a leave of absence.
As a producer, you are the link between the theatrical production and management, providing the production team with the best possible conditions to perform at their best. You will plan, execute, and drive productions within established financial and technical resource frameworks. You are responsible for the production budget, contracting actors and artistic personnel, coordinating staff, developing rehearsal schedules, and organizing tours.
The role includes some management responsibilities and accountability for the work environment in the productions you oversee. You will collaborate closely with the artistic team, technical staff, and theatre management. The position requires high social competence and good communication skills.
We are looking for someone who has:
· Experience as a producer within the performing arts.
· Experience in contract management, budget work, and personnel management.
· Familiarity with relevant planning tools (e.g., Timewise).
· Strong administrative abilities, structure, and problem-solving skills.
· Understanding of artistic processes and practical management.
· The ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Preferable qualifications:
· Knowledge of labor law and the National Agreement for Institutional Theatres.
· Experience in strategic and systematic production planning.
· Experience in handling equality issues within the artistic field.

Duration, Working Hours:
Temporary, from January 7, 2026, to January 31, 2027.
Evening and weekend work may occur.
Start Date:
January 7, 2026, or by agreement.
Compensation:
Fixed salary, trust-based working hours.
