We are seeking an optometrist for our pediatric team in Sörmland Region!
About Us
Sörmland Eye Clinic is a regional clinic divided into three clinics located in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We perform cataract surgeries, strabismus surgeries, outpatient procedures, anti-VEGF treatments, and provide care for children and adults with various chronic eye diseases. Our eye clinic staff includes ophthalmologists, eye nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, opticians, orthoptists, and medical secretaries.
As an optometrist with us, you will work in a county-wide pediatric team consisting of three pediatric ophthalmologists and two orthoptists. The team holds regular conferences where the entire team meets to discuss patient cases and general patient care issues. Regular participation in orthoptist and pediatric eye meetings is also conducted nationwide.
Your Responsibilities
• Independent vision testing and refraction for children and adults
• Eyeglass prescription
• Amblyopia treatment
• Potential examination and treatment of diplopia issues (depending on competence)
Your Qualifications
You should be a trained optometrist. Previous experience is meritorious, and we place great value on collaboration skills and flexibility as we work in a county-wide pediatric team.
