About the Position
Operational Team Leader in the Kitchen sought for a customer with primary responsibility for ensuring correct preparation and control weighing of raw materials according to established recipes, as well as efficient and timely raw material supply to the kitchen's various production units.
The role involves actively working in daily production to maintain quality, traceability, and food safety in accordance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and certified quality systems. The Team Leader will also handle complaint management – following up, analyzing, and driving improvement actions for quality deviations and customer complaints.
Primary Responsibilities
• Implement recipes according to daily needs – weighing, preparation, and raw material supply to respective kitchen units
• Inventory and requisition
• Ensure production follows recipes, workflows, hygiene requirements, and standardized work methods
• Lead and plan daily kitchen production with focus on quality, capacity, and work environment
• Perform control weighing of food according to established routines
• Coordinate resources and staffing in consultation with Acting Operational Operations Manager
• Drive changes and improvements in workflows and routines
• Ensure traceability, temperature monitoring, hygiene routines, and allergen handling function according to established kitchen procedures
• Serve as the overall control function in the kitchen – ensure critical control points are followed and documented
• Follow up and analyze deviations, complaints, and customer feedback, and drive corrective actions together with Acting Operations Manager and team
• Actively work on standardization of work elements and recipe implementation
• Lead kitchen personnel – create a culture prioritizing quality and food safety
• Introduce new employees to hygiene routines and safety requirements
• Collaborate closely with other departments, such as packing and picking, purchasing, logistics, and sales
• Decide on actions for quality deviations in consultation with the HACCP team
• Recommend and implement process improvements in consultation with Acting Operational Operations Manager
• Delivery precision and production outcomes
• Minimize raw material waste
• Percentage of correctly weighed recipes and raw material supply
• Number of complaints and deviations
Your Profile & Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in food, production, or equivalent
• Experience in operational role within food production, preferably kitchen environment
• Good understanding of HACCP, traceability, hygiene routines, and recipe implementation
• Meriting: Experience with certification systems (e.g., FSSC 22000, BRC)
• Familiar with business and quality systems
• Computer proficiency and good Swedish in speech and writing
• Precise and detail-focused Ensures each process step follows established routines and is correctly documented
• Responsible and reliable Takes ownership of quality issues and acts quickly on deviations
• Analytical and solution-oriented Can identify root causes of problems and propose improvement actions
• Structured and methodical Works systematically with control points, audits, and follow-ups
• Communicative and pedagogical Clearly explains quality requirements to colleagues
