The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also administers secure residential care for youth. We provide these services in youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. SiS youth home Klarälvsgården accepts non-school-attending boys with psychosocial problems, as well as those involved in criminal activity and substance abuse. We are tasked with caring for boys with an increased need for psychiatric support.
Job Description
Do you want to create life-changing differences for vulnerable individuals? Then the position of operational leader is a meaningful role. As an operational leader, you will be responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside of office hours, during evenings and nights, with the aim of promoting a safe care and working environment. You will guide and empower your colleagues in their work and ensure that operations are conducted legally and in accordance with relevant governing documents, methods, and established goals. Specifically, this includes being responsible for incident management during alarm situations and taking necessary actions following an incident. You will communicate highlighted deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant supervisors. You will establish and update safety assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures according to the LVU, LSU, and LVM in accordance with SiS work and delegation regulations.
Qualifications

You have the will and ability to act based on established decisions, guidelines, and policies. You possess a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
You should also have:
- A suitable university degree, such as a degree in social work, behavioral science, or another equivalent higher education qualification, or at least a two-year vocational education (treatment pedagog) along with experience working within SiS or a similar organization.
- Several years of experience working within SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, criminal justice, or other relevant fields.
- A good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work group.
- A valid driver's license (Category B).

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time appointment, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date to be agreed upon. Work hours are distributed across days, evenings, and nights.
