We are now seeking prehospital experienced nurses or ambulance healthcare workers to work as Operational Coordinators, a role AISAB has been commissioned to staff by the Healthcare Administration of Region Stockholm.
The position is staffed 24/7 and located at the SOS Central in Stockholm. There is an opportunity for rotation with clinical service, preferably rotating with medical leadership.
You will start with an introductory training and will continuously receive targeted training to strengthen your competence in the area.
Your Responsibilities
As an Operational Coordinator, you are Region Stockholm's representative in the PoD service. The OPK contributes a prehospital perspective and current knowledge about the region's organization. You collaborate with PHB dispatchers, the region's healthcare services, and other authorities and actors to achieve high availability and good redundancy for prehospital care.
During both everyday and special events, you as OPK provide support to dispatchers and TiB, and establish a staff when needed together with collaborating authorities and actors.
Competence Requirements
- Nurse or ambulance healthcare worker with several years of clinical experience in Region Stockholm's ambulance services
- Excellent knowledge of TiB and its mission
- Good knowledge of medical treatment guidelines and prehospital directives for ambulance services in Stockholm
- Thoroughly familiar with Region Stockholm's disaster medical plan and good knowledge of 1177 Healthcare Guide and Healthcare Provider Guide
- Preferably completed training according to requirements 1.13.1 for prehospital special medical leadership, such as A-HLR adult and child, PS, CBRNE, RN, APP, PHTLS, AMLS, PEPP, and PDV
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing, and good English skills
Personal Characteristics
The operational coordinator role demands high personal maturity and confidence in the professional role. You are calm and stable and can make decisions under stress. You are given significant responsibility, both in everyday situations and during special events, and use your experience and confidence to work independently and solve problems. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, are attentive and unpretentious. Furthermore, you are clear in communication, structured, and trustworthy.
You place the patient's needs at the center and consider the whole picture when acting and making decisions based on the organization's best interests. You are an ambassador for prehospital care and are well-versed in the organization's methods and governing directives.
You have a drive to develop ambulance services and maintain a flexible approach. We expect you to contribute to the further development of the function, as both the scope of the assignment and working hours may change over time.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Additional Information
The recruitment process includes a logic and personality test. The position is in a security class, which means that security screening with registry and background checks will be conducted on final candidates before an employment decision is made. The position may be subject to wartime placement.
AISAB will become an administration within Region Stockholm, which means that from January 1, 2026, Region Stockholm will be your employer.
