Operational IT Operations Consultant - Stockholm

About the Role We are seeking an Operational IT Operations Consultant for an assignment in the public sector. The role suits someone with extensive experience in IT operations, system administration, and network environments – who wants to work hands-on with operations, security, and infrastructure in a complex organization. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the client's IT environment, leading and participating in projects, and managing vendor collaboration. The assignment covers everything from server and network administration to system integration, lifecycle management, and IT security. The purpose is to ensure a stable, secure, and well-functioning operational environment within the framework of the city's regulations and IT standards. Work Tasks Operational responsibility for IT infrastructure management Management of operational and system integration projects Vendor management and technical coordination Lifecycle management and system upgrades Ensuring operations according to agreed SLAs IT security responsibility within the operational area Qualification Profile To succeed in the role, you need to have many years of IT operations experience and documented competence in: Windows Server and Linux Server Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB Microsoft IIS, Apache, WAMP Firewalls, networks, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS Virtualization (VMware VSphere) Automation and scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI) Backup and storage (Veeam, StarWind) Monitoring (Icinga, Ansible, LibreNMS) Active Directory and certificate management (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) You should also have documented experience in: Property IT and installation/operation of network components in properties Access systems (PAC, Aptus, RCO, iLoq) Integration of portal telephony, ATA boxes, digital booking systems SCADA solutions Stokab's project model for new construction Meritorious Experience with Stockholm City IT regulations and IT infrastructure Knowledge of object management (IT) according to PM3 Experience with Stockholm City's project model "Lilla Ratten" Experience in strategic IT security work and LIS systems Personal Characteristics You are driven, structured, and results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
