Saab has a growing procurement organization. They can offer you an exciting and challenging role as an operational buyer within one of their eight category teams. The category team has overall responsibility for procurement within Saab Surveillance at their four locations in Gothenburg, Huskvarna, Järfälla, and Arboga. Each category team consists of a Category Procurement Manager and strategic and operational buyers, totaling 10–15 people spread across the various locations. This position is based in Gothenburg. Your Responsibilities
As an operational buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of planned needs to Saab's production, characterized by a strong project focus. You will be part of a team that purchases materials for both prototypes and small series production of technically advanced solutions. This places high demands on quality, flexibility, teamwork, and swift handling from both suppliers and buyers. In addition to suppliers, your key collaborations will be with the planning department and several different project offices. Your main responsibilities include:
• Placing orders and following up on deliveries
• Obtaining cost estimates
• Ongoing feedback to customer responsible parties and supplier follow-up
• Optimizing flows
• Purchasing materials and services based on planned needs
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with experience in supply chain and/or procurement, preferably with previous work as an operational buyer. You thrive in a fast-paced production environment and have a good understanding of the factors that affect procurement within a supply chain. Your ability to independently drive work and ensure high delivery precision is crucial for success in this role.
