Your Role
Are you a service-oriented and solution-driven person with a desire to create and nurture supplier relationships? Then you might be the right person for us. We are seeking an operational purchaser for our procurement organization within Special Mission & Regional Aircraft (SMRA) to work in an international environment. As an operational purchaser, you will work in a broad purchasing role with high development potential. You will become part of cross-functional supplier teams together with strategic purchasing, purchasing quality, and design to ensure long-term support for our projects, programs, and campaigns.
Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA), part of the Aeronautics business area within Saab, delivers advanced aircraft modifications, service, and integrated support solutions for cost-effective support of systems and platforms throughout their lifecycle. Our business unit's goal is to establish and support our customers' capability to operate and maintain world-class systems such as GlobalEye, SK60, Saab 340, and 2000.
The Role Involves:
* Purchasing materials based on procurement needs
* Creating purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and managing invoices
* Handling export control issues
* Supplier evaluation
* Working in teams with strategic purchasing, design, and purchasing quality in various procurement processes
* Identifying, developing, and securing the supplier base to meet the organization's future needs
* Taking an active role in business development in the department
This role involves comprehensive responsibility from need to delivery, as well as follow-up and monitoring of our suppliers. You will play a crucial role in developing both large and small suppliers through collaboration, good dialogue, and supplier evaluation.
Your Profile
You have previous purchasing experience, preferably as an operational purchaser, and are engaged and solution-oriented. You are comfortable in your ability to build relationships, both internally and externally. To succeed and thrive with us, you should be unpretentious, responsible, have a high sense of service, and maintain a positive attitude. You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience with IFS business systems and technical interest/knowledge is a merit.
The position requires that you undergo and pass applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may involve specific citizenship requirements.
