We offer
- Working in a newly renovated and growing day surgery unit that started just over a year ago – an operation where we continue to develop our work methods, flows, and routines
- Joining a stable and cohesive work group with low staff turnover
- A varied job where you meet patients from several different themes at Karolinska
- A goal-oriented and developing environment focusing on flow optimization, quality, and good results
- Up to 5,000 kronor in wellness benefits
You will, of course, also receive our general benefits offered by Karolinska University Hospital.
About the Position
Perioperative Medicine Solna covers all anesthesia, surgical, and pre-/post-operative care for adult patients, except thorax patients. Our operation includes anesthesia reception, surgical healthcare, and pre- and post-operative care before and after surgery.
Norra Haga is a relatively new day surgery department within Perioperative Medicine Solna. We started in spring 2024 and have been in full operation for just over a year. The unit has five operating rooms and receives patients from several themes within Karolinska. This means a broad patient category and high work variation.
As an operating room nurse with us, you will work in a team-based and flow-oriented approach, where collaboration, structure, and clear goals are central. The work is dynamic, focusing on efficient flows, high patient safety, and good work environment.
We work purposefully towards our operational goals – where operation starts, changeover times, room utilization, and quality parameters are central. Our working hours follow a fixed schedule with the advantage of being off every third Friday.
We are looking for someone who
- Is confident in their professional role and enjoys working independently
- Likes working with flows and sees development and improvement as a natural part of everyday life
- Takes initiative and contributes to driving the operation forward
- Adapts easily to new situations and patient flows
- Works well with others, is humble, and focuses on the whole – "we are in the same workplace with a common goal"
- Works purposefully, plans, and prioritizes to achieve results
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing
- At least two years of experience as an operating room nurse
