In September, we moved into new premises at the New Hospital Area in Malmö (NSM). This allows us to provide care in state-of-the-art facilities with a focus on the individual and in a working environment with favorable conditions.
The Urology care area (VO) consists of two care departments in Malmö, a clinic primarily operating in Malmö, and an admissions clinic in Malmö. The departments have 36 inpatient beds from Monday to Friday and 30 + 2 beds from Saturday to Sunday. The focus is on highly specialized urological nursing with all types of urinary surgeries. We utilize surgical techniques that entail both short and longer lengths of stay and high patient turnover, which creates a dynamic workplace. Staff members work with various diagnosis groups to maintain their competencies.
At our admissions clinic, our two surgical coordinators work similarly to ensure understanding of the entire operation. We continuously prioritize patient focus, which in turn leads to consistently excellent results in our patient evaluations. Within the urology VO, you will have the opportunity to grow and thrive!
RESPONSIBILITIES
We now welcome an operations coordinator to the admissions clinic in Malmö.
As an operations coordinator, you and your colleague will be responsible for planning elective patients for day surgery and inpatient surgeries. This includes everything from urgent surgeries within a week to long-term planning with several specialized physicians. You will also be responsible for planning our radiology patients who require monitoring, and you will collaborate with the hospital in Landskrona and their surgical unit.
The work requires close collaboration with responsible managers, doctors, surgical departments, care departments, and clinics. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with patients scheduled for surgery and providing them with necessary information. Additionally, you will have considerable email and phone contact with both patients and colleagues at the hospital. You will also communicate with private clinics and hospitals, mainly concerning patient coordination.
This position is a temporary role lasting until August 31, 2027.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.
Alternatively, you may be a trained nursing assistant who meets the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under previous or current program structures, and have at least two years of experience working as a trained nursing assistant. It is also acceptable if you have post-secondary education such as health and medical care administration (KY 80p/YH400p) or medical secretary training.
If you are a licensed nurse, fluency in Swedish at least at C1 level according to the Council of Europe’s level scale is required. As a trained nursing assistant or medical secretary, you must have excellent Swedish language skills in both spoken and written forms.
Experience with Melior and Orbit is advantageous. Furthermore, several years of experience in specialized care, experience in surgical planning, and work experience within urology are considered beneficial.

You are structured and accustomed to making quick decisions, even in pressured situations, and possess high motivation and a strong sense of responsibility.
