About this role

Make a difference. Every day. In September, we moved into new premises at the New Hospital Area in Malmö (NSM). This allows us to provide care in state-of-the-art facilities with a focus on the individual and in a work environment with optimal conditions. The Urology Department consists of two healthcare wards in Malmö, a clinic operating primarily in Malmö, and an admissions clinic in Malmö. The wards have 36 treatment places from Monday to Friday and 30 + 2 treatment places from Saturday to Sunday. The focus is on highly specialized urological care with all types of surgeries involving the urinary tract. We utilize surgical techniques that result in both short and long patient stay durations and high patient turnover, which creates a dynamic workplace. Staff members work with various diagnosis groups to maintain their competence. In our admissions clinic, our two surgical coordinators work similarly to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the entire operation. We maintain a constant patient focus, which in turn leads to consistently excellent results in our patient evaluations. Within the Urology Department, you will have the opportunity to grow and thrive! JOB DESCRIPTION We are now welcoming a surgical coordinator to the admissions clinic in Malmö. As a surgical coordinator, you and your colleague will be responsible for the planning of elective patients for day surgery and inpatient operations. This includes everything from quick surgeries scheduled within a week to long-term planning in collaboration with several specialized doctors. You are also responsible for the planning of our radiology patients who require monitoring, and you will collaborate with the Hospital in Landskrona and their surgical unit. The role requires close cooperation with responsible managers, doctors, surgical departments, care wards, and the clinic. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with patients who are to be operated on and providing them with necessary information. Additionally, you will have considerable email and phone communication with both patients and colleagues at the hospital. There will also be communication with private clinics and hospitals, primarily concerning the coordination of patients. This position is a temporary contract running until August 31, 2027. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a registered nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Alternatively, you may be a trained nursing assistant, meeting the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under former or current program structures, and have at least two years of experience working as a trained nursing assistant. It is also an option if you have post-secondary education such as health and medical care administration (KY 80 credits/YH 400 credits) or medical secretary training. If you are a registered nurse, fluency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. As a trained nursing assistant or medical secretary, you must have very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of and experience with Melior and Orbit. Furthermore, several years of experience in highly specialized care, experience in surgical planning, and work experience within urology are favorable qualifications. As a person, you are attentive, service-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating, while also being confident in working independently. You are structured and accustomed to making quick decisions, even in pressurized situations, and you also possess high motivation and a sense of responsibility. Facing new conditions, you are flexible and adapt smoothly by reprioritizing and solving problems that arise along the way. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. In this recruitment, continuous selection will be applied. We warmly welcome your application today; we look forward to getting to know you!
