About this role
The Elderly Care Services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.
Umeå Municipality's home care service is the largest provider in Umeå with the most extensive experience in personal care and service. The municipality's home care service offers various forms of support, service, and care in the home. We are the unit that handles all care interventions for our clients living in their own homes within Umeå Municipality. Most of our staff are nursing assistants whom we continuously train. The home care service is also responsible for responding to and managing emergency alarms that occur during the night.
We are now looking for individuals who want to work in the Ålidhem area!
Your Responsibilities
We are seeking someone who, through a positive approach and a professional work style, assists our elderly clients in their daily lives with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and medication administration.
The goal is to enable the elderly to remain in their homes for as long as they wish. You will work based on the assignment, where the client's participation is the focus. This ensures that services are delivered with high quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.
Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
About You
We prefer candidates who are trained nursing assistants, caregivers, or equivalent, but this is not a requirement. However, we do expect you to have experience in healthcare, preferably within elderly care and/or home care.
To communicate effectively with clients, relatives, and colleagues, as well as to write and access care documentation and receive medication delegation, you must have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
As a person, you have high integrity, are attentive, empathetic, and enjoy working independently. You demonstrate great commitment to both clients and the organization in all relationships and actions.
Heavy lifting may occur, and mobility aids should be used. Pets and smoking may be present in the workplace, so you should not have allergies.
A valid B driver's license and/or the ability to cycle in both summer and winter is also required.
