About the Position
Nursing Area 1 (OO1) is one of three nursing areas within the Cancer Theme. OO1 provides highly specialized nursing care for both benign and malignant cancer diseases in both Huddinge and Solna. The Endoscopy Clinic is located at both sites, conducting highly specialized endoscopic activities with both elective and acute examinations and treatments. We perform procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound with fine-needle puncture, ESD, and PEG insertions.
In Huddinge, we also have our ERCP Unit, where advanced interventions like ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound are performed under anesthesia. At the Upper Abdomen Day Care, patients from all flows within the upper abdomen area are treated. Here, patients undergo endoscopic interventions under anesthesia, surgical procedures, and other treatments.
As a Head Nurse in these areas, you will be employed within OO1, stationed at the Endoscopy Clinic in Huddinge and Solna, ERCP, and Upper Abdomen Day Care in Huddinge.
Your work areas include:
leading and distributing work within ERCP, Endoscopy, and Upper Abdomen Day Care
responsibility for high-quality and safe patient care and promoting a good and safe work environment for your employees
close collaboration with other nursing managers and section managers within the unit and with other care flows in the hospital
participating and actively engaging in the OO1 management group
For us, the multidisciplinary team is crucial for success. In your role, you will be part of a team consisting of managers and clinicians from various disciplines. You will be evaluated on outcomes, quality, and production metrics and report to the Head of Operations. You will represent the operations and Karolinska University Hospital both internally and externally.
This is a first-line management assignment with a continuous management appointment.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare
- Experience with management assignments or similar leadership role
- Strong academic competence and academic merits
Meriting:
- Experience in leadership within complex environments
- Documented experience with change management
