About the Position Nursing Area 1 (OO1) is one of three nursing areas within the Cancer Theme. OO1 provides highly specialized care for both benign and malignant cancer diseases. The Upper Abdomen Clinic has a regional and partially national mandate to investigate and treat adult patients with malignant and highly specialized diseases of the esophagus/stomach, liver, and pancreas. The Liver-Pancreatic Diseases Clinic is a specialist outpatient and day care unit that investigates and treats adult patients with chronic and acute liver diseases. Our area has a strong research focus, with many patients included in studies. We have both regional and national assignments, which means we care for patients from other regions. As Nursing Manager for the Huddinge Clinic, you will be employed within OO1, located at the Upper Abdomen and Liver-Pancreatic Diseases Clinic. You will lead and distribute work among the clinic's employees, with adult care as the primary area of responsibility. Your work areas include: • responsibility for providing good and safe patient care and promoting a good and safe work environment for your employees • close collaboration with other nursing managers and section managers within the unit • participating and actively engaging in OO1's management group The multidisciplinary team is crucial for our success. In this role, you will be part of a team consisting of managers and clinicians from many different disciplines. You will be evaluated on outcomes, quality, and production metrics and report to the operations manager. You will represent the operations and Karolinska University Hospital both internally and externally. This is a first-line management position with a permanent management appointment.
