JOB DUTIES Short-term stay outside the home under LSS § 9:6 means that a person with a disability temporarily lives outside their own home for a shorter or longer period. The purpose is to provide relief and space for relaxation to relatives and recreation and environmental change for the person with a disability. At Vasavägen 17, youth and adults with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and neuropsychiatric diagnoses stay. Here, we provide support, care, and security to our care recipients and work to contribute to increased quality of life through various activities. By being a positive and solution-focused staff group, we strive to ensure our care recipients have an enjoyable short-term stay while giving relatives an opportunity for respite. The approach is pedagogical and structured, with documentation and follow-up also part of daily work. As a care assistant, you will be a contact person for care recipients and have one or more areas of responsibility for the operation. The work also includes all typical household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Approved education from healthcare and care program, child and leisure program, care worker training with additional qualification, caregiver training, childcare worker with at least two years of education, or other education deemed suitable for the operation, e.g., behavioral science or pedagogical education at the university level of at least 120 credits. Experience working in LSS operations and knowledge of disabilities. Swedish language in both speech and writing. B driver's license and comfortable driving a larger minibus. Personal qualities important for the position include working in a structured manner with care recipients. It is also crucial to have an adaptable approach based on individual care recipient needs. Creativity, playfulness, and solution focus are additional important qualities for motivating care recipients to be active and participate in activities. You should have a professional approach towards all persons in the care recipient's vicinity, such as relatives, school, daily activities, nurses, and colleagues. Having an open, attentive, and humble approach is therefore essential. It is also important to have patience, provide a sense of security/calmness, and have good collaboration skills with colleagues.
