About this role

Description As Area Service Manager, you will lead and develop the service organization in the Skånegatan school district. The Skånegatan area includes Burgården High School, Katrinelund Elite Sports High School, Bernadotte High School, and the Automotive Industry Technical High School. The service organization functions as a gear that supports the entire organization and contributes by providing support to ensure the schools' operations run efficiently and with high quality. The service organization includes the schools' facilities, cleaning services, caretaking, school restaurant facilities, procurement administration, and Burgården Conference Center. Responsibilities You will lead and develop the service operations together with two service managers and two kitchen managers. You will also be the direct manager for employees in procurement administration and the conference center. The assignment includes analyzing, coordinating, and streamlining operations to achieve good service, flexibility, long-term sustainability, and stability in all its parts. The economic aspect is important, as the service organization's financial scope is large. Through your leadership, you will continue to develop the service organization in a direction characterized by clear roles, professionalism, relevant work distribution, and good collaboration. The assignment also includes responsibility for systematic work environment management, systematic fire protection work, environmental efforts, safety issues, rental operations, collaboration with other administrations, monitoring external developments, contract writing, and quality assurance. In these areas, you and your service managers will work together with school principals to provide well-functioning support to the core operations. As Area Service Manager, you will be offered a role in an organization that values cooperation, development, and innovation, where you can make an impact. Interview Round 1 will take place on December 1st. Interview Round 2 will take place on December 5th. Tests will be conducted on December 9th or 16th. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant university and/or college education and experience working in a leadership position with personnel, budget, and results responsibility. You have extensive experience working with facility issues, covering everything from technical matters to contract management and service operations. You have high IT competence and can express yourself well verbally and in writing. It is meritorious if you have been a manager of managers and have experience working with strategic development at the management level. To thrive and be successful in the role, we expect you to be confident in your leadership role and able to create participation through communicative and developmental leadership. You have the ability to switch between coaching and operationally leading managers and employees. You work with the big picture while being good at delegating so that both managers and employees can easily see, shape, and implement assignments. For the role, we also seek someone who is goal- and result-oriented, which among other things is demonstrated by being transparent in your assignment and understanding the importance of planning, follow-up, and reporting to achieve results. You are change-oriented and expected to contribute to the long-term development work in the school district. You are socially confident, attentive, and can both collaborate and be clear in your leadership. You have an excellent ability to organize and create structure in the operation. With a high service mindset and understanding of service as support to the core operations, you drive development with a focus on quality and long-term sustainability.
