Your Mission As an ombudsman/manager, you will be the executive chief officer of ABF Skaraborg with overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. You will be the department's face to the outside world and report directly to the elected board. Your main tasks will focus on leading, developing, and following up on operations according to the department's established goals and ensuring high quality in collaboration with other employees. You will lead all staff, which includes conducting employee reviews, staff meetings, salary discussions, and personnel development. You will drive operations efficiently within budgeted frameworks in accordance with our values and have financial responsibility before the board. Your tasks will also include environmental scanning and participating in writing project applications and reports, as well as following up on projects. The work to develop our popular education activities and increase interest in education, culture, and diversity throughout Skaraborg will be done in collaboration with the board, executive committee, chairperson, and other staff. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with experience in popular education and grassroots movement work who shares ABF's and the labor movement's fundamental values. You have a good understanding of the role of popular education in society and experience reporting to a board. Experience in leading and driving change processes is required, as well as experience in personnel responsibility. You have several years of experience in finance, budgeting, and financial follow-up. Strong administrative and communication skills, as well as proficiency in digital tools, are also important. Experience in quality work and in writing and reporting on projects is an advantage. As a person, you are relationship-building and foster trust and confidence both internally within the organization and in relations with external parties. You are an inclusive and attentive leader who invites participation and personal responsibility. We highly value humility, courage, and clarity. Naturally, you are engaged and have the ability to prioritize. A driver's license is required for the position. This is a permanent full-time position based in Skaraborg.
