We are now seeking another wonderful team member for our primary client. We need someone with great commitment to individuals with disabilities and an understanding of the family perspective.
The client is a man in a wheelchair who enjoys being outdoors and practicing walking/standing exercises. He has some communication skills, and if the connection is right, you will quickly develop a personal chemistry that brings joy to you both. Experience with epilepsy and being a calm, centered person are significant advantages.
The assistant group works 12-hour shifts between 8:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00 on a fixed schedule. Active assistance is provided 24 hours a day with double staffing. There is flexibility in scheduling days (based on preferences) as the client and the group are keen to find the right person and can adjust the schedule accordingly.
As the client has severe dog and cat allergies, it is crucial that applicants do not have any dogs or cats.
