Are you an experienced designer driven by the desire to combine your creative sense with a business mindset? As a designer at NELLY, you will play a vital role in our design team, which collectively identifies trends and creates garments for upcoming seasons.
Your Responsibilities
As a designer at Nelly, you will work in a team alongside four senior designers. Together, we analyze the season's volume products and trend phenomena, after which we create our own expressions. In this role, you will work with various materials, styles, fits, pattern constructions, qualities, and clothing groups. You will help drive the design processes from idea to finished garment. Therefore, you will collaborate closely with your design colleagues as well as with purchasing and product developers. Timing in the market is crucial, and you will be an important key player in our future endeavors. The job includes certain annual inspiration and supplier trips. You will report to the Design Lead and be based at our new headquarters in Gothenburg.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you need to have several years of experience working as a product or concept designer for a large fashion company. You have relevant education in fashion design, and as a person, you are a team player who can also work independently. We believe you have an analytical approach, accustomed to following up on previous work and understanding what made a product succeed or fail, as you will be an important part of our improvement efforts. Since NELLY creates clothing for the target group aged 15-30, it is essential that you can relate to their lifestyle. In your professional role, you draw significant inspiration from social media and follow trends as a natural part of your daily life. You navigate proficiently in Illustrator and Photoshop, and if you also have experience with CLO 3D and the business system Kubix Link, it is an additional advantage—but not a requirement. Above all, you have a trained commercial eye for what will succeed in the market, allowing you to combine your creative sense with a business mindset.
