About the Position
The Healthcare Administration department consolidates the hospital's healthcare administrative resources under the Production Staff. Our operation consists of approximately 600 medical secretaries, administrators, and executive assistants.
Karolinska University Hospital's thematic organization is based on medical units that follow the patient's journey through care. Acute and Reparative Medicine (ARM) is one of six themes, where Acute Medicine (ME Akut) is included. This advertisement is for a permanent position at the Emergency Department in Huddinge.
Your work tasks will include:
- Journal writing in Take Care, primarily outpatient care
- Staffing the reception desk at the emergency department, handling invoices, emergency log, and other tasks based on operational needs
- Internal and external telephone contact, patient and relative communication
- Referral management, printing letters and certificates
- DRG registration and procedure classification
- As a medical secretary at the Huddinge Emergency Department, night and weekend shifts on a rotating schedule, working every third weekend

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Medical secretary education and several years of professional experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the Take Care journal system
- Experience with out-of-region invoicing
- Excellent Swedish language and medical terminology skills, and English writing skills
Meritorious:
- Education or experience with DRG
