JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking a new teacher for our students starting in January 2026. We need someone interested in working with youth who want to pursue an elite sports career while achieving good academic results. You will work with the subject of specialized sports and training and competition studies, which involves theory, practice, and individual interaction.
Bessemerskolan has both RIG and NIU. You will be part of a team of 7 teachers with extensive experience in RIG/NIU activities and a housing coordinator responsible for our student dormitory. You will be two full-time teachers teaching in the floorball direction.
At Bessemerskolan, we want our students to enjoy themselves while developing as floorball players and receiving a good education in our high school programs.
Job responsibilities include:
• Shared responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation of specialized sports and training and competition studies in floorball
• Responsibility for individual student conversations to support their sports practice combined with schooling based on each student's needs
• Mentorship concerning sports development and schooling
• Leading training/lessons on and off the field, both theoretical and practical
• Planning and evaluation of individually adapted and goal-oriented development plans
• Documenting and following up on activities
QUALIFICATIONS
We believe the ideal candidate has good experience leading and developing young people. You possess specialized knowledge in floorball, with experience as an active athlete or elite-level coach, and are interested in educational and developmental issues in sports. You are collaborative, open, creative, and engaged in what you do.
Qualified high school teachers with coaching training are preferred, but other qualifications will be considered.
Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written.
We place great importance on personal suitability and experience.
