About this role

The aim of the Business Department is to contribute to creating a favorable business climate and good conditions for existing companies in the municipality to grow, and for new companies to choose to establish themselves in Södertälje. We do this within three areas: dialogue, communication and service; skills provision; and business development. The Business Department is organizationally part of the municipal executive office, led by the city director. Your Responsibilities In the role of Business Strategist, you will focus on improving and developing the municipality's services for businesses and strengthening the local business climate. This concretely involves driving improvement work based on customer satisfaction measurements and in collaboration with colleagues in the department and other units within the municipality to ensure better and legally compliant service. We have recently established the NIKI Council, which consists of managers from all sectors. Together with the operations, you will analyze results from measurements such as SKR's ongoing insights and develop action plans to support various operations. You will also work on various questions and challenges related to the municipality's business climate, develop proposals for initiatives and actions, and implement these alongside colleagues in different municipal operations. This may include developing dialogue with local businesses and supporting colleagues in other offices that influence the business climate. You are also expected to identify and lead various forums, networking meetings, and events for entrepreneurs, with participation from the municipality and the business community (companies and industry organizations), aimed at generating proposals and ideas, as well as anchoring and promoting the municipality's work. You will also contribute to the department's other work and may take on or participate in other tasks or projects. As a Business Strategist, you play an important role in strengthening the business climate as part of creating the conditions the business community needs to continue growing and creating more job opportunities. Who You Are We expect you to be proactive and engage in the mission of embarking on the department’s and municipality’s journey towards a better business climate in a committed and positive manner. You are sociable, communicative, and have the ability to build and develop good relationships. Requirements: - Relevant academic degree, such as in economics or political science. - Solid experience in business development work, with a focus on business climate issues and customer satisfaction index measurements. - A deep understanding of businesses' conditions and perspectives. - Documented experience in leading and driving change initiatives. - Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - A valid Class B driver’s license. Merits: - Experience in municipal operations and/or understanding of municipal governance.
