Vindeln Municipality actively works to strengthen the business climate and develop the municipality as an attractive place to do business, live, and thrive. As a business development professional, you play a key role in this work and contribute to a growing and sustainable business sector.
As a business development professional, you work both strategically and operationally to improve local business conditions. You help new businesses start, existing businesses develop, and attract new businesses to Vindeln. Your work is based on the municipality's business strategy, where you participate in planning and implementation.
A crucial part of the job is building and maintaining good relationships through dialogue with entrepreneurs, supporting service and administrative matters, and helping to solve practical challenges. You plan and conduct business visits, organize business networking events, and create meeting platforms.
An important aspect of the role is developing project applications and participating in ongoing and upcoming projects. This work may include mapping, environmental analyses, needs and development dialogues with businesses, as well as planning, implementing, and following up on project activities.
YOUR COMPETENCE
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of business conditions and prerequisites. It is advantageous if you have experience in the private sector, such as being an entrepreneur or having education in areas like entrepreneurship, business economics, social sciences, or similar.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is meritorious:
- Business development and business promotion
- Publicly funded development projects and project administration
- Communication, information, and relationship building
- Working in a politically governed organization
- Knowledge of the business landscape in Vindeln Municipality
As a business development professional, you are self-driven, initiative-taking, and solution-oriented. For us, this means you enjoy taking independent initiatives and driving work forward, while also collaborating closely with colleagues and external actors. You are structured and goal-oriented and thrive in interpersonal interactions. You easily build trust and communicate clearly and engagingly – both verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Business Development is part of the Municipal Development sector. The sector encompasses various activities and is responsible for business development, streets and parks, leisure activities, culture, youth services, and meal services. The position is located in Vindeln, with the possibility of some remote work by agreement.
