About the Role and Your Responsibilities As an Administrative Officer at the Children and Education Administration, you will be responsible for: • Administrative processing and preparation of decision proposals for matters such as school transportation, deferred school obligation, fulfilling school obligation in alternative ways, and handling applications for extraordinary support. • Participating in the preparation of certain matters for the Children and Education Committee. • Processing and drafting statements in supervisory cases from the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, the Children and Students Ombudsman, and the Discrimination Ombudsman. • Investigating complaint cases. • Developing administrative-wide action plans, routines, and documents to support the implementation of official authority within the entire administration in accordance with current legislation. • Conducting legal investigations as needed. Together with principals and operations managers, you as an Administrative Officer are responsible for implementing and conducting administrative-wide action plans, routines, and documents uniformly across the entire administration. The work includes visits and follow-up visits to preschool and school units to support ongoing local development work. The position also includes monitoring external developments and participating in networks. In the role of Administrative Officer, you are expected to provide good advice, be a strong and qualified support for operations in official matters and authority exercise, and lead training in the area. The position requires the officer to work to maintain high competence within the administration regarding legislation, general guidelines, and more within the work area, as well as develop the operation. Furthermore, the Administrative Officer also provides documentation for reports, including within the framework of the principal's systematic quality work, and participates in principal analysis based on the connection between results and official authority exercise. In the assignment as Administrative Officer, you will be part of municipality-wide networks related to routines and official authority exercise. We Are Looking for You We are seeking someone with a law degree. You have experience working with administrative processing, decision-making, and official authority within public administration. The following are considered meritorious: - Experience working as an Administrative Officer or equivalent and as a decision-maker. - Experience from court work and supervisory authority work, as well as work within a politically governed organization. - Good and current knowledge of regulations for preschool, primary school, and adapted primary school and the operations included within these school forms. As a person, you are analytical and have a good ability to overview the whole. You are structured and can organize and plan your work. You are also self-driven while enjoying teamwork. To succeed in the assignment, you need to have very good collaboration skills and be able to build trust easily. You take initiative and are development and solution-focused. The role involves many internal and external contacts and educational efforts. Therefore, it is important that you have good communication skills and are comfortable speaking in front of groups. Very good Swedish in speech and writing is a prerequisite for the position. You also have good digital competence and can easily adapt to different systems. The group consists of approximately 20 people in specialist functions. The group includes various administrative functions, Administrative Officers, Head Registrar, and Committee Secretaries. We are located together in premises in central Lund with good commuting opportunities. We also offer the possibility of remote work. The Administrative Unit is responsible for developing administration-wide structures and routines, support materials, and action plans related to official authority, thereby guaranteeing that the principal fulfills its assignment in accordance with current legislation. This may involve issues of harassment, problematic school absence, or special support. The unit's Administrative Officers also process various types of cases involving official authority against individuals and handle complaints
