Are you interested in working alongside motivated and dedicated educators who take pride in their workplace? At Skogsängsskolan, we are looking for a music teacher who is interested in a temporary position from January 7, 2026, to June 14, 2026.
Skogsängsskolan is newly built with modern facilities and a fantastic playground. We have grown in recent years and are now a K-6 school with approximately 463 students. At Skogsängsskolan, we work collaboratively with a focus on collegial learning. We take a proactive approach to create a good environment for student learning and safety. The school operates with the underlying belief of placing the student at the center within a holistic perspective. We consciously work with differentiated and language-developing methods for higher goal achievement. We have both a counselor and a school nurse on a full-time basis, as well as a student health team that works preventively. To succeed in this work, we place great emphasis on norms, values, safety, and a conducive learning environment. A part of this effort is our organized and well-functioning recess activities.
In this position, you will teach music full-time to students from grades K to 6. You will focus on capturing and developing students' musical interests while adapting your teaching to their varying levels. Naturally, you will plan and implement your teaching according to the curriculum, Lgr22. Additionally, you will be part of a work team at the school to facilitate collaboration with colleagues.
We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and a teaching license authorized to teach music. Previous experience teaching according to LGR22 is advantageous. In our school, you will teach entire classes; therefore, we would prefer candidates with experience teaching large groups.
You are attentive, collaborate well with both colleagues and students, and have the ability to see the whole school situation of the student. You can communicate easily with both adults and children. You excel at building trust, listening, and understanding different needs. We believe that you are a driven employee who wants to contribute to the continued development of the school.
