Johan Skytteskolan is a municipal F-9 school with approximately 1150 students.
The school building for grades F-6 is newly built and modern. The school is located in southern Älvsjö in Stockholm. We have staff members who, together with us in school management, are developing our school into one where good academic results, a conducive learning environment, safety, and well-being are the focus!

Your Role
We are seeking a teacher who will teach music and Swedish as a second language for grades 1-3. The position is a temporary contract from January 2026 to January 2027. You are expected to work five days a week.
You will be part of a working team and a subject team where you collaborate with your colleagues and play an important role in collegial learning to create new and deepened knowledge. You will share the music teaching and the music room with another music teacher, who is responsible for the middle school. You are expected to take extra responsibility during school ceremonies and other traditions.
As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.
Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for someone who has high expectations for students' achievement, good pedagogical insight, and is clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You who apply:
- Are a certified teacher with qualifications in music and Swedish as a second language
- Have documented experience in the teaching profession
- Have experience with digital methods as a reinforcement in teaching.
You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and appropriate learning environment. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.
You are confident, stable, self-aware, and a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and establish good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role effectively.
