Personal Assistant Position Assistance is a crucial part of my life. Assistants play a significant role in enabling me to live the independent life I want in my apartment in Farsta. They make it possible for me to have a functioning daily routine and do those extra things like listening to vinyl records or surprising my parents with dinner. One of my regular assistants will now be away for 6 months or more. I am therefore seeking an engaged temporary replacement who can cover their shifts during this period. About Me With a bit of attitude but careful, and having lots of thoughts and humor, that describes me well. I am 23 years old and from South Korea. My greatest interests are music, food, and books. Learning new things is something that attracts me. Activities like going out and snowboarding I enjoy, when I'm not watching movies. I like spending time with my family. Currently, I have no occupation, which makes my days look a bit unusual at the moment. My hope is to study in the long term. Cerebral Palsy is a companion in my life. It teaches me a lot about myself and the world. It affects my entire body, especially the right side and oral motor skills. I need support or help with everything physical. I communicate through alternative communication methods. Therefore, I need assistants who can interpret and convey my communication in both Swedish and English. I can walk, but use a wheelchair for longer distances. Job Responsibilities I may need your help in different ways at different times, even for the same task. Sometimes I have more or less energy. It's important that you are attentive and don't assume anything. As my assistant, you need to know me, my functional variation, and my communication methods very well. You need to be able to capture details and nuances about me. Good hygiene is important in this job for both of us. As a personal assistant, you will help me with: • Personal hygiene such as toilet visits, showering, and dressing • Mic-Key care • Meals (I eat by mouth but also have a Mic-Key/stomach button as a complement) • Household chores and daily activities • Anything requiring two hands • Activities outside the home • Leisure activities and interests • Accompanying me on short trips • Communication support and note-taking • Medical visits or similar where communication support is especially significant - you become my spokesperson • Being present and responsive to my needs and routines • Providing support without taking over – your assistance should promote my independence when energy allows • Taking initiative sometimes but always asking me • Handling body-close and intimate support with respect for my integrity Position Details I am seeking a temporary replacement for one of my regular assistants. Due to the job's nature, I am looking for someone who identifies as a woman. The position is a temporary role of 37 hours per week on average for a limited period of 6 months or more. The position is expected to be available from December 2025. It is important to note that the stated period and availability are only estimates. The regular assistant has the right to interrupt their absence, which would then terminate this position. Shifts can start and end at different locations in Stockholm. The shifts for this position are as follows (subject to changes for travel or schedule modifications): • Monday: 06:30-16:00 • Tuesday: 16:00–23:00 • Thursday: 06:30–16:00 • Saturday: 06:30-12:00 • Sunday: 06:30–12:00 Some periods you'll work more, others less. This will also affect your compensation. Your schedule may need to be adjusted. As a personal assistant, you will work independently. It would be good if you can step in for extra shifts during illness or other vacancies.
