As a Museum Host, you will be part of the public operations team, working alongside colleagues with extensive knowledge about the museum's activities. Together, we welcome and meet visitors of all ages and backgrounds, creating cultural experiences that touch and enrich.

Work Duties
The primary tasks involve:
- Welcoming museum visitors, providing excellent service, and helping visitors navigate the museum.
- Providing information about museum exhibitions and activities.
- Working with sales and routine tasks in the museum shop.
- Maintaining order and performing basic cleaning in public areas.
- Helping to prepare and reset locations, equipment, and technology for exhibitions and public activities.
- Handling opening and closing, supervision and monitoring, and responding to alarm and emergency situations.
Qualifications
As a Museum Host, you will put visitors first and ensure everyone feels comfortable at the museum. You should have personal maturity and confidence, ability to prioritize and act quickly under pressure. To succeed in the role, you need to be attentive and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
We place great importance on your personal competence in performing work tasks.
Additionally, you will need:
- High school diploma, preferably with a focus on service, tourism, sales, or leisure and recreation.
- Some experience with similar tasks in service, hospitality, or retail.
- Ability to handle digital technology in exhibitions and public activities.
- Digital and administrative skills for working with Microsoft 365.
- Good language skills in Swedish and English.
The work is varied and includes both intense and calmer periods, depending on visitor flow. You will work in a lively environment with considerable movement, involving extended periods of standing and walking, with potential for high noise levels.
Employment
This is an hourly position as needed, starting from December 30th. Working hours vary, approximately 5-10 hours/week, primarily on Wednesday evenings and weekends, but other times may also be required. It is advantageous if you can take shifts on short notice.
Interviews will be conducted during week 50.
Introduction will take place from December 30th to January 11th, on days/times we mutually agree upon.
