MTO Specialist with RAMS Focus for New Team Job Responsibilities Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Railway at the Swedish Transport Administration is preparing to establish and build a team that will support the department in software development according to CENELEC EN 50128 - An important task for railway safety! To make this possible, we are seeking an MTO specialist who will help build our new team and ensure that the IT solutions we develop meet the highest standards of safety, usability, and reliability. As an MTO specialist, you will be a key team member tasked with supporting software-delivering development teams with methods, risk management, and quality assurance based on software development according to CENELEC EN 50128. From a supplier perspective, you will act as a specialist in related ongoing development initiatives and ensure that the standard is interpreted and applied correctly. You will also collaborate closely with other parts of the Swedish Transport Administration, including developing safety-related documentation, contributing to risk analyses, and training and coaching development teams. Web-based tests will be used as part of the selection process. Interviews will be conducted digitally via Skype and are planned for the end of week 50. As a person, you can naturally switch between guiding and supporting to driving development forward. Since you will work closely with both operations and IT department development teams, you have a good ability to collaborate with others. You are meticulous, structured, and communicative, with the ability to methodically break down complexity into smart and clear messages that guide the team in the right direction. Furthermore, you have good analytical skills, raise different perspectives, and see the big picture to avoid missing important details along the way. You are motivated by active employee participation where you purposefully take responsibility for your tasks while being attentive to how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others. We Are Looking for Someone Who Has: • University or college education in IT of at least 180 credits (120p) or other education combined with relevant work experience that we consider equivalent • Current and relevant experience of driving and analyzing MTO issues from a RAMS perspective • Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you have: • Worked in a railway-related organization • Current experience applying CENELEC EN 50128 • Experience with safety-critical system or software development Application The questions you answer when submitting your application will form the basis of our first selection.
