Your Role At Saab Muskö, we work with the Swedish Navy's vessels in repair, maintenance, and modifications. Here, you'll become part of a tight-knit team constantly working to ensure the Navy's vessels are available and ready to operate. As a motor mechanic, you will help ensure marine surface vessels and submarines are in the best possible condition. The work is varied, involving vessels with different technological levels, complexity, and ages. Work Responsibilities * Troubleshooting and maintenance of vessels * Maintenance and repair of diesel engines up to 2600kW * Disassembling and rebuilding engines * Repairing and maintaining components and hydraulic systems around engines * Engine testing and running-in * Participating in sea trials for respective vessel classes * Administrative tasks such as work orders and service reports Domestic travel may be required. Your Profile To apply for the role, we are looking for someone who has: * Experience in similar work, e.g., as a marine engineer * Good computer skills * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English * Class B driver's license Additional experience in drivetrain systems for heavy vehicles and motor part processing is advantageous. Experience with crane, forklift, and heavy lifting work is a plus. We believe the ideal candidate has a passionate interest in technology in general and motors specifically.
