The ferry company is undergoing a transformation towards electrification, climate adaptation, automation, and digitalization, where you will play an important role in this journey. We are currently looking for a motorman/deckhand for a temporary position on the Vaxholmsleden in the Stockholm archipelago. The Vaxholmsleden runs between Vaxholm and Rindö. The ferry route is 970 meters long, with a crossing time of six minutes. The position includes maintenance and repair work, checking that the ferry's machinery is seaworthy, as well as loading and unloading. It also involves regularly operating the ferry in traffic under the supervision of the captain to maintain this capability. **Additional Information** In this recruitment process, web-based tests will be used as part of the selection. The temporary position is full-time and extends until October 31, 2026. **Qualifications** You will work closely with the captain, which requires a high level of collaboration skills. We prefer that you are technically knowledgeable with analytical problem-solving abilities and have an interest in taking greater responsibility for the technical operations on board. Onboard the ferry, you will also be our face to the public, which requires a high degree of service orientation. You are motivated by active teamwork, where you responsibly manage your tasks while being attentive to how you contribute to the whole by collaborating with others. We are looking for someone who: - Has at least six months of service on deck or in the engine room, or has completed the upper secondary school energy program with a focus on maritime technology or a vocational education in shipping leading to a position as a junior deckhand or watchkeeping engine personnel. - Holds a Class B engineer's certificate or, at a minimum, a Class VIII engineer's certificate. - Has completed basic safety training according to STCW Manila. - Holds a valid medical certificate for seafarers with deck service, at least for inland waters. - Is experienced in using digital tools and support systems. - Speaks and writes Swedish fluently. It is advantageous if you: - Have higher qualifications/training or other experience that we deem relevant. - Have experience with maintenance systems such as AMOS. - Have experience working on road ferries. **Application** The questions you will answer when submitting your application will form the basis for our initial selection.
