Motorman/Sailor for the Fårösund Route

We are now seeking committed personnel for our yellow road ferries - help us bring Sweden closer together. The Ferry Services is undergoing a transformation towards electrification, climate adaptation, automation, and digitalization, where you will be an important part of this journey. We are currently recruiting a motorman/sailor for the Fårösund Route on Gotland. The Fårösund Route runs between Fårösund in northern Gotland and Broa on Fårö. The route length is 1,300 meters with a crossing time of six minutes.
The position includes maintenance and repair work, ensuring the ferry's machinery is seaworthy, and loading and unloading. Under the captain's supervision, you will also regularly operate the ferry to maintain operational capabilities.

Qualifications
You will work closely with the captain, which requires strong collaboration skills. We seek a technically knowledgeable candidate with analytical problem-solving abilities and an interest in taking greater responsibility for onboard technical operations.
As the ferry's representative, you must demonstrate a high level of customer service. You are motivated by active participation, responsibly and purposefully managing your tasks while being attentive to how you contribute to the overall team effort.
We are seeking candidates who:
• Have at least six months of deck or engine room service, or have completed high school energy program with maritime technology focus, or vocational maritime education leading to junior sailor or watch engineer positions
• Hold a B-grade engineer's certificate or at minimum, class VIII marine engineer certificate
• Completed basic safety training (STCW Manila)
• Have a valid medical certificate for seafaring deck service, minimum inner waters
• Are experienced with digital tools and support systems
• Speak and write Swedish fluently
Advantageous additional qualifications:
• Higher certifications/education or relevant experience
• Experience with maintenance systems like AMOS
• Experience working on road ferries
