Montessori Preschool Kotten is a non-profit parent cooperative. The preschool is located at Härsberget in Alingsås. We offer wonderful and adapted facilities, a large nature playground, and nature right at our doorstep.
We have a total of 11 employees and care for 35 children aged 1–6 years in our program. The aroma of delicious food fills the house every day as our chef prepares lunch.
We are looking for someone who is: Positive, secure, and curious. Solution-oriented, structured, and responsible. You possess strong pedagogical skills and are well-acquainted with the preschool curriculum and governing documents, as well as the ability to implement them in daily operations. Experience with Montessori education and/or outdoor pedagogy is an asset. Experience in resource assignments is also advantageous.
You have an interest in and the ability to meet each child based on their needs and interests. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have an inner drive for independent work while also enjoying teamwork. You want to contribute to the development and management of our educational work at our "small" preschool with short decision-making paths.
Preschool's Working Method:
Children's curiosity and interests guide the content of daily activities based on Montessori pedagogy and relevant governing documents such as the preschool curriculum and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We believe in the competent child with an inherent desire to discover, experience, and learn. We offer children the opportunity to acquire new experiences, knowledge, and skills through learning and exploration. Creative play in groups, individually, or together with us educators is encouraged. We adapt our learning environments according to the interests and needs of the child group; the environment should be inviting and challenging for children to learn and play. We enjoy being outdoors and often visit the forest just outside our gate.
About the Position:
The position is a permanent role with a probationary period, part-time/full-time starting January 12, 2026. Part of the role may involve resource duties. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and employment may be finalized before the application deadline.
