About the Company
Ocean Robotics is a Swedish technology company located in Hackefors, Linköping, that develops and manufactures complete remotely operated underwater systems. The robots are used in environments where humans cannot work — for example, in seabed surveys, fish farming, ship hull inspections, research, and advanced rescue operations worldwide.
All development is conducted in-house: mechanics, electronics, software, and production. The company also has its own test pool where the systems are tested and verified before delivery.
Ocean Robotics is currently in an expansion phase with strong international demand. The growing order book means that we are now hiring more colleagues and will be moving to larger, newly built premises in Hackefors in 2026.
Your Responsibilities
As an assembler, you will be part of a close-knit and supportive team that builds complete robotic solutions — from circuit boards and modules to finished products ready for testing and underwater operations. You will work in production, closely collaborating with both support and development, and you will be involved in several parts of the workflow.
Your tasks will include:
• Performing mechanical assembly and fine-tuning
• Building electrical cabling and panels according to sketches and electrical diagrams
• Soldering connectors and electronic components
• Connecting modules and building cabinets
• Participating in final testing, troubleshooting, and service
Some instructions are clear, while others are less detailed. Therefore, we appreciate if you have experience in reading technical drawings and various types of schematics. You enjoy problem-solving, are not afraid to ask questions, and want to contribute to improving work methods and structure moving forward.
Your Profile
You thrive in a practical role and find it enjoyable to build and see the results of your work. The most important aspect is not exactly where you have worked previously — but that you have a technical interest and experience in assembling and constructing in some form.
We believe you will recognize yourself in the following:
• You enjoy mechanical assembly and precision mechanics
• You have an interest in electronics, cabling, or soldering
• You are meticulous, curious, and responsible
• You like working together with others and contributing to a positive atmosphere
• You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in lean manufacturing
• Assembly of systems or products across multiple technical areas
Here, you will be part of a company that values diversity, different backgrounds, and various strengths — where every voice matters. The well-being and camaraderie within the team are aspects the company takes pride in.
