Your Responsibilities
Omniglot is currently seeking a native Tagalog teacher for ~30% of a full-time position starting immediately. As a native language teacher, you will teach children and adolescents in your mother tongue at various primary schools throughout Stockholm County, not at a single school. This is a mobile position, and travel reimbursement will not be provided. Teaching will take place outside regular school hours, typically in the afternoons between 14:00-17:00, and sometimes between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning. As a study coach, you will support newly arrived students in various subjects such as Social Studies, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics, so you must have excellent proficiency in Swedish.
Your tasks include:
- Planning and conducting language lessons;
- Attendance management of your students;
- Email communication with guardians;
- Grading and assessment;
- Reporting your working hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot's central unit;
- Participating in professional development alongside other teaching colleagues.
Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:
- Lives in Stockholm or nearby areas;
- Has Tagalog as their native language (knowledge of Cebuano is a plus);
- Speaks and writes Swedish fluently;
- Is proficient with computers;
- Is responsive to students' needs and interests;
- Is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff. Teaching experience is an advantage. We only accept applications through this platform, and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
