Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Bodens Municipality!
The Labor Market and Education Administration has comprehensive responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality's residents. The administration also manages the Cultural School, catering services, and fulfills tasks for the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, high schools, and adapted high schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work as a mother tongue teacher in primary school. Your workplace will be various school units and school types where children and students are located. Your teaching will take place through in-person instruction. Remote instruction may be an alternative option.
Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your tasks. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions in the workplace. Travel between schools may occur.
Southern Sami 5%
Lule Sami 10%
It is meritorious if you can teach in both these languages.
QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer a certified teacher with a Swedish teaching degree or a documented foreign teaching qualification. If you lack a teaching degree but can demonstrate another suitable university education, that can also be sufficient. You should have very good Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a second language 3 or Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B.
It is advantageous to have work experience from the Swedish school system and be familiar with the Education Act and curricula for different school forms. We therefore expect you to share that value base and be able to realize it in words and actions. You can adapt and vary your teaching. You are a good classroom leader and can create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and management.
Digital skills and abilities that enable remote mother tongue instruction are also meritorious.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, easy to collaborate with, and independent. You are positive towards new ideas and working methods and want to continuously develop your teaching with learning in focus.
Working as a mother tongue teacher/study guide will provide you with rich opportunities to meet newly arrived and multilingual children and youth, and your contribution will make a difference.
The position is time-limited during the 25/26 school year.
We apply a 40-hour/week flexible working time model.
