Opportunity for Dutch Mother Tongue Teaching in Lidingö City Schools Lidingö City has 11 municipal primary schools, focusing on knowledge and enjoyable learning, which is reflected in our excellent study results. School leaders and teachers in Lidingö exchange experiences, learn from each other, and develop together. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will teach Dutch as a mother tongue. Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching, follow-up, evaluation, parent communication, and grading. You will provide students with the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development based on their individual conditions. You will be part of a team and collaborate with colleagues, teachers, and other school staff. Mother tongue instruction aims to develop students' knowledge of and about their native language. Access to one's native language also facilitates language development and learning in other school subjects. Our organization actively works with various digital platforms, accessibility, and collaborative learning. As a mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for each student's education in the language groups you are assigned. Other tasks may arise, and the work's content and conditions may change over time. Teaching will primarily take place on Thursday afternoons. QUALIFICATIONS The position requires a Swedish teaching certification and familiarity with school governing documents such as the Education Act and curriculum. You should have good knowledge of Swedish and the language you will teach. Additionally, you should have documented experience in mother tongue instruction and good understanding of bilingualism's opportunities and challenges.
