Your Responsibilities
Omniglot is now seeking a substitute mother tongue teacher in Armenian for 30% starting week 2 (January 2026). The temporary position extends through June 2026.
As a mother tongue teacher, you will teach children and youth in your native language at various primary schools throughout Stockholm County. This is a traveling position and you will not work at just one school, which requires flexibility. Travel compensation is not provided. Teaching occurs outside regular school hours, typically in the afternoon between 14:00-17:00, sometimes between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning.
Your responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing mother tongue lessons;
- Managing student attendance and absences;
- Email communication with guardians;
- Grading and assessment;
- Reporting your work hours and maintaining close contact with Omniglot's central unit;
- Participating in professional development with fellow teachers.

We are seeking candidates who:
- Live in the Stockholm area;
- Have Armenian as their mother tongue;
- Speak and write Swedish or English fluently;
- Have good computer skills;
- Are attentive to student needs and interests;
- Are flexible and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, guardians, and school staff. Teaching experience is meritorious.
