Native Language Teacher and Study Advisor in German

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a native language teacher and study guide in German for 20% position starting in the spring semester of 2026. You will conduct instruction in the native language subject and also be able to provide study guidance in the native language for newly arrived students in various school subjects. The work will be distributed across different primary schools in the municipality, in close collaboration with principals and class teachers. You will follow the curriculum for the native language subject and provide written assessments and grades. The work also requires familiarity with school digital tools such as Google Drive, Google Classroom, etc., and being accustomed to developing instruction using digital tools. We aim to arrange part-time positions over few days per week to enable combination with other employment. Position size depends on potential subject combination, study guidance needs, and the number of newly arrived students in the municipality. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone qualified to teach in their native language through a Swedish teaching degree or a validated teaching degree from their home country. Additionally, you should have completed at least 30 credits in your native language, have good Swedish language skills (at least Sv3), and be able to communicate fluently in speech and writing. Experience working as a native language teacher or study guide is meritorious. Furthermore, you should have good knowledge of study guidance and IT. Knowledge of mathematics, social studies, and science is also advantageous, as is experience with mentorship, as we work with co-mentoring for newly arrived students. As a person, you take initiative and have good collaborative abilities. You are confident, flexible, positive, and engaged, and enjoy working with organizational development.
