We are looking for a native language teacher in Mongolian to offer students who wish to receive mother tongue instruction in the municipality's primary schools. This means that we also provide teaching in the outer schools.
**Job Description**
As a native language teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating mother tongue instruction in accordance with the guidelines and curriculum set by the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) (Lgr22). Your mission is to strengthen students' knowledge of Mongolian as their mother tongue and contribute to their bilingual development and cultural identity. You will teach students placed in various schools within the municipality. Instruction primarily takes place after regular school hours and can be organized in small groups. Teaching will occur on-site in Hjo municipality. Your responsibilities also include:
- Adapting instruction to meet each student's language level and needs.
- Maintaining pedagogical documentation and writing assessments.
- Collaborating with the regular staff of the schools and guardians.
- Participating in any follow-ups or networking meetings with other native language teachers.
- Working independently but with support from the student health manager.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who is flexible and solution-oriented, with pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt instruction to the student's level. You need:
- Excellent knowledge of Mongolian, equivalent to a native language level.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22) for mother tongue instruction.
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written (for documentation and communication).
- A cleared background check according to the Education Act (an extract from the criminal record is required).
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Completed or ongoing teacher training.
- Experience teaching children in primary school.
- A driver's license and the ability to travel to outer schools is an advantage.
